Many online presenters overlook the value of a well lit presentation space. However, you do not need an expensive lighting system or studio to get effective results. Review this module to learn how to effectively position yourself for optimal lighting.

Checklist

• Position an even light source (e.g., a window) directly in front of your laptop.
• Do not have have any bright lights on in your background (especially windows, TVs, or other screens).

Exercise

Using the Panopto Capture tool or your computer’s photobooth application, record yourself to get a sense of your lighting conditions.
